India to no longer rely upon
U.N. climate change panel
It appears as though the Chicken Littles of the global warming movement have gone a little too far.
India announced that it will no longer rely on the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change because of gross exaggerations on the effects of climate change.
The U.N. panel’s current chief Dr. Pachauri, who is from India, made erroneous claims that all the glaciers in the Himalayas would be gone by 2035 even though recent scientific analysis concludes it will take at least 300 years for the glaciers to disappear.
India is instead establishing its own scientific body to study the effects of climate change rather than rely on the U.N.
With what is now known about the “number massaging” done by climate scientists in the Great Britain, the same numbers the U.N. climate change panel relies on, the United States should follow India’s direction and establish its own government panel on climate change rather than relying on the U.N.
However, with the way President Barack Obama’s administration is pushing “cap and trade” legislation, we don’t think that is likely to happen.
