Obama's drawn out march towards not winning the war in Afghanistan

It is unsettling to see an American president so impotent, so indecisive, so blatantly political as he tucks this nation’s tail between its legs and bails out of what is now his war.
Barack Obama embarrassed himself and the nation earlier this week while explaining his Afghan “strategy” to cadets at West Point. The speech was painful. Nothing about victory. Nothing about winning. Nothing about doing the right thing. The aim, he says, is to get more American troops into Afghanistan and to begin bringing them home in 18 months, or about the time his re-election campaign will get under way. The idea, he says, is to conclude the war. Not win the war. Conclude the war. The new American victory. He will sell himself as the peace president.
