Liberals and guns

One need only look to Australia to see what could happen to one of our most precious rights in this country if liberals were given their heads.

The first numbers for what is being called in Australia the National Gun Amnesty has netted 12,500 gun in its first weeks. Hillary Clinton and other notable leftists have pointed to Australia as a possible model for the United States when it comes to guns. It is, Clinton said, “worth considering on the national level.”

The amnesty – in effect from July 1 until Sept. 30 and the first since 1996 – allows people to surrender unwanted or unregistered firearms without prosecution. Possession of an unregistered firearm can bring a fine of up to 280,000 Australian dollars ($220,000) or a 14-year jail term.

The largest hand-in so far has come from New South Wales, where 6,400 firearms were turned in.

“We’ve also received more than 110 prohibited weapons, including samurai swords, knives and other edged weapons,” Wayne Hoffman, a detective chief inspector with the New South Wales Police told the New York Times.

We are betting not very many of those weapons were turned in by criminals.

Liberals in Australia and in the U.S., like liberals everywhere, seem to believe trampling the rights of law-abiding citizens somehow makes us all safer; that if enough laws are passed, crime will evaporate.

One need only look to Australia to see what could happen in this county if liberals were given their heads.

    The Fence Test
You can’t get any more accurate than this!
This is straight forward country thinking.. By Jeff Foxworthy
    Which side of the fence?
If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!

If a Republican doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one. If a Democrat doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat. If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. If a Democrat is down-and-out he wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a Republican doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels. A Democrat demands that those they don’t like be shut down.
If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church. A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. If a Democrat decides he needs health care, he demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a Republican reads this, he’ll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A Democrat will delete it because he’s “offended”.

“Leftist always love humanity in theory, but in reality, HATE people”

A superficial hug, a knowing smile, to tell the world, and be ever so intelligent and trendy, I wuv u.
