The question circulating among the fabled dead voters of House District 15? Is Gabrielle LeDoux about to be LeDone?

An independent expenditure group’s polling from the district shows Republicrat LeDoux trailing Republican challenger David Nelson by a substantial margin, MustReadAlaska reports.

LeDoux is facing criminal charges for voter fraud and is to appear in court two days after the primary election for a hearing.

LeDoux, if you will recall, simply was agog after election officials in the 2018 District 15 GOP primary election discovered seven absentee ballot applications — seven — from dead folks, not to mention absentee votes cast in the names of at least two very much alive people who said they had not voted.

In all, officials yanked 26 ballots because of residency or legitimacy questions. All the ballots with residency or legitimacy questions, it is worth noting, were for LeDoux.

All that triggered a quiet, two-year investigation that led to 18 charges being filed against LeDoux, her former chief of staff Lisa Simpson, and Simpson’s son, Caden Vaught. Those charges include five felonies and 13 misdemeanors.

None of the current charges appear to involve the dead voters, it turns out.

We generally are stingy with our endorsements as we really cringe at the notion of telling you how to vote. In this case, and only after consultation with the dead voters in District 15, we can say that if we were voting in the District 15 GOP primary there would be only one choice – David Nelson.

Let LeDoux be LeDone.

A long time ago, my friend Claude said, “All politicians should serve two terms, one in office and one in prison”. I tend to agree…….
