    Good editorial cartoon material:
    .
Gravestones in the Anchorage School District cemetery… Reading, RIP, Writing RIP, Mathematics RIP, American History RIP, World History, Civics RIP, Geography RIP, Patriotism RIP…
    .
Maybe productive Anchorage residents/parents/taxpayers should simply accept that:
    .
    (a) Anchorage’s education industry seems to be a hideously expensive failure which nobody outside the industry can fix until it topples under its own bureaucratic weight, and
    .
    (b) if they want a classical, useful education for their children, home, private, or charter schooling may be their only choices.
    .
Meanwhile Dave’s fighting for “patriotism in Anchorage schools”, never mind the little darlings may be too illiterate to figure out what “patriotism” is, and too obsessed with social media to care.
    .
Functionally illiterate, but patriotic graduates, what a concept.
    .
Rather like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, Dave…
    .
But do let us know how it turns out.
